“Do you know which is the highest waterfall in Pakistan and where it is located?”
In Pakistan, where there is no shortage of stunning natural landscapes, there are also many waterfalls. However, most of these waterfalls are located far from common pathways, making access difficult. As a result, few people know about these waterfalls, and many may even think that Pakistan has no waterfalls at all.
Every waterfall, in its own way, has a magnetic pull for people. The water falling from a height, the mist it creates, and the sound of the water crashing down under its milky veil all have a strange allure. In this article, we are introducing seven waterfalls in Pakistan, each unique in its own right. The only catch is that almost all of them are located in remote areas, and visiting them often requires hours of strenuous mountain trekking.
How many of these waterfalls have you seen?
1. Minthokha Waterfall
Located 80 kilometers from Skardu, Minthokha Waterfall is considered by many websites as the largest waterfall in Pakistan, though this may not be entirely accurate. The waterfall’s height is 180 feet. One of its distinctive features is that in the winter season, the water freezes as it falls, creating a stunning, frozen spectacle. Like other waterfalls in this list, reaching Minthokha is not too difficult, as it is located near the roadside.

2.Peer Gayeb
This waterfall is located in Balochistan, 70 kilometers from Quetta. As the water falls, it splits into several parts, which adds to its charm and makes it even more captivating. According to local folklore, there is a legend associated with this waterfall in which a young man, to escape from enemies, disappeared at this very spot, which is how the waterfall got its name.

3.Saji Coat
Sajikot Waterfall is not just one, but three waterfalls. At the top, there is a small waterfall that cascades into a small turquoise lake. Then, the water from this lake falls down in the form of two larger waterfalls into a bigger lake below. However, after heavy rainfall, both waterfalls merge into one. This waterfall was only discovered a few years ago, and since then, it has become a popular tourist spot, attracting large crowds. The waterfall is located in the Havalian Tehsil, near Abbottabad.

4. Dahani Water Fall
This is the highest waterfall in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. It is located 38 kilometers from the capital of Pakistan-administered Kashmir, Muzaffarabad.

5.Shangerei Water Fall
Located near Mingalwar, 18 kilometers from the city of Mingora in the Swat Valley, this waterfall is approximately 70 feet wide and 30 feet tall. Surrounded by trees and lush greenery, it presents an incredibly picturesque view.

6.Basho Waterfall
This waterfall is located 30 kilometers from Skardu city, behind a mountain, making it extremely difficult to access.
7.Jarogai Waterfall
Also located in Swat, this waterfall is 53 kilometers from Mingora. According to some reports, it is the highest waterfall in Pakistan, with a height of around 400 feet.
